Bruce (@bruce_croxon) co-founded Round 13 Capital to address the market opportunity created by the lack of funding available to growth stage digital companies in Canada.
He spent the first half of his career as a hands-on operator, piloting Lavalife from infancy through to its sale in 2004 for $176 million. Today, Bruce engages regularly with Round13 portfolio companies putting his operational and marketing expertise to work as an investor and partner.
Bruce is a regular speaker and commentator in the Canadian business community. He is the co-host of The Disruptor on BNN and was formerly a dragon on CBC’s Dragons’ Den.
John is passionate about mentoring great entrepreneurs. Investing for over 20 years, he first provided the initial funding to Softimage, the world-leading 3D animation and first ever public company bought by Microsoft. In 1994, John co-founded McLean Watson Capital, one of the most successful technology investors in Canada. Start-up funding was provided to FloNetwork (sold to Doubleclick) and Fortiva (sold to Proofpoint). McLean Watson was also the majority investor in i4i, and driving force behind its patent infringement victory against Microsoft. Through its investment in Lavalife, John met Bruce which eventually led to their co-founding of Round13 Capital.
John held senior positions in M&A and public financing with Wood Gundy. He is a past President and Chair of the Canadian Venture Capital Association and for several years, a judge of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Craig’s main interest is helping entrepreneurs to build powerful sales & marketing machines. He was the co-founder and CEO of Fitzii, an online recruiting company that uses a predictive algorithm to match candidates to employers (sold to the Ian Martin Group).
Craig worked at Deloitte – initially as a Marketing Director and later as a strategy consultant in the Enterprise Risk practice. Before that, Craig co-founded and led Ethos, the corporate responsibility practice of JWT – the world’s fourth-biggest ad agency.
Craig has an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto. He was on the Advisory Board of AutoShare (sold to Enterprise) and, until recently, was on the Board at Evergreen.
